Spring Break, Shabby Apple Style

Though the snow falling outside my window has clearly not received the memo yet, spring is officially here! That means it's time for spring break, and a little vintage update to your tropical getaway wardrobe.

First up: a pair of high-waisted shorts. You can go truly old-school with a bright solid, a simple stripe or polka-dot pattern with bold buttons, or you can go a little more modern with patterned denim. For a casual look, stick with a cargo short, or dress things up with a luxe fabric like satin or lace. Details like scalloped edges at the bottom or a wide tied belt at the top also add a fun twist.

Next up, a pair of throw-back summer shoes. Something that can take you from street vendors to the beach with a moped ride in between. In this category both Swedish Hasbeens and Saltwater sandals get high marks for form and function.

And, for the final touch, what Spring Break wardrobe would be complete without a stylish, vintage-inspired bathing suit? We have you covered there with Shabby Apple’s new Caribbean inspired Tropika Paraiso swimwear line. Just looking at the flirty floral of the Rosa Swimsuit and the retro ruffles of the Sugarcane Swimsuit (coming soon!) almost makes me forget that I am going to have to go out and shovel later today.

So, whether your weather has caught up or not, we say here’s to a stylishly vintage Spring!
