This is my third SA dress (I have the Manhattan and the Ingrid)and it's definitely my favorite! I've eyed it for over a year but was worried it would be too dressy for everyday but not dressy enough for evening. But I'm so glad I finally sprang for it! Because this dress is made of cotton, it doesn't feel too heavy or overdone for daytime wear, especially if you pair it with flats. It's also elegant enough for evening or a special occasion, like a wedding. I'm so excited to wear it! A couple of notes: Like all SA dresses, this one is not lined. (Please Shabby Apple, consider lining your dresses!) But unlike many other dresses out there, this one is not a poly blend so it feels cool and comfortable on the skin. At the same time, it's not so thin you couldn't wear it in cooler weather. It's definitely versatile. The fit: I am typically a XXS in Fits Generously dresses, but with this one, I went with an XS. Although I have a little extra room at the neckline, I still feel sexy in the dress, but not uncomfortable. An XXS would probably have been fine, too, but I wouldn't have any extra give when sitting or moving quickly. For reference, I am 118 lbs, with a straight, athletic figure. I typically wear a 0 or 2 in dresses. Overall: Fun, retro, sophisticated, and comfortable. A great dress that's both reliable and timeless.

I was a bit worried when I ordered this dress that it wouldn't flatter my curvy figure, but I loved it so much I decided to give it a try anyway, and I'm so glad I did! I'm 5'10 and 190lbs, with a very large chest, large hips, and a tiny waist. Normally when I buy sheath style dresses large enough to fit my chest and hips, they're way too big around my waist and make me look shapeless, but this dress somehow cinched beautifully at the waist, while still allowing enough space for my curves. The fabric is nice and light for summer, but still has some structure to it, and just the right amount of stretch to make it gorgeous and flattering. I used the size chart to pick a size (as I'd never ordered from Shabby Apple before) and the dress fits exactly as expected based on that chart (true to size, in other words). I will definitely be ordering from Shabby Apple again in the future!

Looks on me the way dresses looked when I was about 12 years younger and before I had 4 children! Love the fit!
