Sydney City Collection: Pieces for a Perfect Day

There are few things more satisfying than planning the perfect day.  You know, one filled with your favorite people, places, and pastimes. And a perfect day is only improved by the perfect wardrobe. The only catch being that the perfect wardrobe for a perfect day needs to be versatile and easy-to-wear, something that can take you from morning to afternoon to night, and from casual to dressy without interrupting all the fun.

Lucky for us and perfect days everywhere, Shabby Apple’s new Sydney City Collection has plenty of perfection to go around.

You could start off a spring Saturday at the farmers market in the Merigold Dress (coming soon!), maybe with a light weight, patterned cardigan to ward off that early spring morning chill. Once things heat up, stash the cardigan in your straw market tote, throw on a floppy hat and turn all your delicious market finds into a picnic in the park. And nothing finishes up a spring day better than enjoying drinks and appetizers al fresco with friends. Ditch the comfy sandals you’ve been wearing all day for some dressier flats, and add a blazer and colorful statement necklace to take you into the night.

Maybe your perfect day starts a little less than perfectly, at the office. We’ve all got to do it, right? But there’s no reason work can’t be fun, especially in the Botany Bay Skirt (coming soon!).  For a work day, a simple button down, maybe with a well-tailored blazer and a neutral heel or wedge are best to turn this flowy skirt into a high powered office piece. But when the clock strikes five, ditch the blazer, toss the colorful Bielby Sweater over that button up, slip into some espadrilles and hit the movies or a favorite restaurant with your friends.

And for a sunny Sunday, is there anything better than a crisp, white dress? The Cricket Dress is the ideal brunch companion. A small colorful scarf tied effortlessly around your neck, or a longer one draped across your shoulders will help add some pop and fun to this simple, classic silhouette. Heels in your favorite bright color or pattern and an embellished cardigan will dress it up for a more formal Sunday family dinner, or maybe a trip to the symphony or theater to send the weekend out with style.

Needless to say, there is something for everyone—and for everyone’s perfect day—in this playful collection. So tell us, what is your favorite Sydney City piece, and what would be your perfect day wearing it?
