I hate shopping for jeans! I have short legs and a big bum for a petite Asian girl so there aren't a lot of jeans that cater to my body. The simplest way to remedy this problem for me is to wear skirts. But with only 3 skirts that flatter my body, it's hard to be creative too. So now I need to shop for skirts.....

I'm shaped like a Popsicle stick! I'm long, thin, and you can't tell the front from the back. I need clothes that create curves.

I dislike dress shopping. Stores just don't carry dresses with sleeves AND a modest neckline... I'm always buying little tanks to go under the plunging necklines, which works, but is not so sophisticated or dressy.

I have a tiny frame with a short torso, big boobs, and a thick middle. As you might imagine, clothing shopping is *always* an exercise in absolute frustration. Which perhaps explains why I like shoe shopping so much... :)

My biggest frustration right now is looking at a closet full of size 9 shoes but my post-preggo sausages can't fit into them! How disheartening! Why don't your mommy friends tell you the year before you get pregnant NOT to buy expensive shoes because your feet are going to grow AND they won't go back down. By the next baby I will be calling Charles Barkley to find his cobbler.

Post baby bearing, my chest has fallen and my mid-section is like Jell-o. I love the belted dresses, but have some work to do on my body before I can pull that look off.

One of my frustrations is having had to switch to more practical clothes since becoming a mom. I love wearing heels and dressing up, but it isn't as comfortable to wear those things when you're being spit up on, kneeling while picking up toys, etc. I love having excuses to dress up, but they don't come as often since I quit working outside the home.

As a college student without a car, I do a lot of walking--so I'm constantly looking for shoes that are cute AND comfortable. Right now I'm looking for the perfect pair of dressy summer shoes, and the comfort requirement makes it quite the task!

i'm short with a generous derrière and hips but a smaller waist, so i always have trouble finding pants (especially jeans) that don't gap in the back.

or dresses that fit up top as well as around my hips.

like jenny, i also have to buy little tanks to go under deep necklines, or shrugs to cover sleeveless shoulders.

After having a couple kids, I'm trying to figure out how to conceal the 'muffin-top' baking out of my jeans. And I'd sure LOVE to win that 90-Words-Per-Minute dress as an excuse to purchase the 45-Words-Per-Minute for my 18-month old to match!

Okay, so I'm a career gal turned stay at home mom. My daughter is 20 months old, and it's been almost 2 years of schlumpy schlumpy clothes. I have suits in my closet, but my casual wear consists of tshirts and frumpy bottoms. Help! I want to look hip and polished in spite of toddler-induced food stains!

Dress shopping is my biggest frustration. I avoid it at all costs, unless I need a dress for a special occasion, and then I'm usually crunched for time to find just the right dress. I've bought many dresses that I've never worn since. Solution: Shabby Apple dresses!

My biggest frustration is that since I had a baby I feel like I don't know what size I am or how anything fits anymore because my body is different. :( I don't know what fits, so I don't like to go clothes shopping although I need clothes that fit!

My biggest frustration is trying to stay up-to-date but not overly trendy! My budget is not exactly generous, so I need pieces that can be worn again next year!
Also, I have gained and lost 40 pounds twice in the last 2 years (2 babies and not done yet!) so I need to have a variety of sizes as well.

My biggest frustration is that I don't always know how to combine the right things to pull off just the RIGHT look. I love old fashioned outfits, the tailored 1940's and 50's era look. I would wear a shrug with everything if I could! Some days I'm dying to wear one of my shrugs and it just won't work with the cut of my skirt or slacks. Then I have to start all over.

My biggest frustration is that I have to wear clothes at all! My size and shape are fairly inconsistent, and my thighs are always too big! Besides, I have no idea how or where to coordinate, or what exactly constitutes "business casual." My job involves bleach--I don't ever dress nicer than jeans and an old t-shirt!

I am a woman of a certain age who doesn't have a flat tummy, doesn't have long legs, nor a long waist. I am a size 6 on top and an 8 on the bottom. I have small shoulders. (Used to love those shoulder pads from the 80s when anything could look perky!) Finding a dress that fits the chest, falls exactly at the waistline and doesn't make my tummy look like I am carrying my grandchild is my biggest challenge. And modest. The dress has to be modest. Not sleeveless. Not plunging into the girls. With room if there are buttons on top so that I am not poking out in between the buttons. A real grownup dress. Haven't had one for years and years. Stick to coordinates. Can Shabby Apple help?

I never feel like dresses fit me, either they are long enough for my torso and too big up top, or they fit up top and are too short! So frustrating! It seems like all my dresses are an awkward length.

Blogger AJenkins said...

My biggest frustration is my long square torso. Dresses don't hit me in the right place. I can't do dressing with a faux waistband or belts, for they are usually under my cleavage and then flairing from there....less than flattering. I love this lower rise (not too low) jeans era. No one go back to buying anything else, please. Prior to this, (read horrible college, high school and junior high moments) I had to wear big baggy pants. The small waist of that classic jean would always have to fit around my hips instead of my waist. This never looked good and boy jeans didn't allow for any feminity.

I match too much. And I know it. When wearing red shoes, I naturally reach for a red belt, and necklace, and earings, and hat...well, maybe it's not THAT bad. But I struggle to make it interesting by mixing, less matching. It's my greatest style challenge.

Pants! I can always find a pair of really cute jeans.. but they are never the right length (usually too long). I love the hem on the bottom so instead of getting them altered, I either cuff the bottom or step on them all day (which drives me crazy). When I find the petite section, if I try to wear heels with these pants, they look too short!

I'm petite. And I don't just mean short (4'1'') I also have body proportions that might have gotten serious air time in the Renaissance, but aren't as trendy now. My biggest bane is that I have about 2 inches between my hips and my ribs, so not only do I have to create the appearence of a waist, but finding pants and shirts that fit me properly and don't leave anything exposed, constricted, or fitted improperly is a challenge. I stick for classic lines and silhouettes and satisfy my fashion cravings with statement shoes and accessories.

I hate prints. I mean, I don't hate them when I first see them, but somehow, I always hate them after I've bought them. Even simple basics like stripes I buy with relative confidence - who can hate stripes - and then find that they languish in my closet unworn. How can a print stand the test of time? I have a very few pieces - two dresses, a skirt - that have done so. What is the difference?

I am a full time mom and photographer. My days are usually hectic with running around and taking care of everyone. I hate buying trendy clothes that make it to the fashion list one day and then gone the next. The best way to describe what I can't seem to find is this......I love the older classic version of a convertible VW bug and don't really care for a NEW VW, but if I could own a white 1960 VW convertible, I'd want the interior new and for it to run like new. Can I have both worlds? Anyways, I just need a classic boho look that fits my job and lifestyle without two separate closets. My only dislike is finding the right affordable style.

Shopping for dresses and pants are always a problem area for me.I'm only 5 foot tall, so sometimes the hems of my pants end up trailing on the ground, which looks sloppy. When you have an "average" waist but short petite frame, shopping for right "right fit" pants can be a nightmare!

Sometimes finding dresses that fit my frame are hard also. I can D cup breasts, so a lot of dresses that look good on smaller busted gals sometimes don't "fit" me right, which is disheartening. I'd like to be able to wear dresses that look as good on me as they do my B cup friends.

I love the cut and style of all of your dresses! I'm hoping your fashion line may be my "perfect fit" :)

Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

I have TWO major clothing frustrations, both as a result of "over-endowment" and both leave me close to tears on a regular basis!

I'm tall, with a tiny ribcage (28.5") and large breasts (proportionally). I'm a 32G. No buying $15 bras off the rack for me! Any tops/jackets/dresses are always either too roomy in the waist and hips or too tight in the chest.

With the height, came a pair of size 10.5 feet. Not 10, not 11, 10.5. I can't even comfort myself with shoe shopping! Siiiiiiiiiiiigh. Pity me, please?

I'm a wedding photographer who loathes pants. In fact, I do not own a pair of pants. Jeans, yes, but ONLY for the winter. I live in Austin, Texas and it's too dang hot for anything but skirts and dresses. So, my frustration is finding flattering skirts/dresses that are appropriate for shooting a wedding. This perfect article of clothing must be comfortable with a hemline that falls below the knee and without a plunging neckline. It also must be black, chocolate brown or something along those lines as to not stick out like a sore thumb.

2nd shopping frustration (actually probably the first, except that I now ignore it entirely) finding pants or jeans to fit my generous backside.
